Effective date: June 21, 2025. This Privacy Policy describes how Recriv ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and job-matching platform (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, authentication credentials (managed by Supabase Auth), and profile information you provide during onboarding — including location, work authorization, skills, experience, and resume content.
Usage and product data
We collect information about how you use the Service, including job matches viewed, applications tracked, AI-generated resumes and cover letters, interview practice sessions, subscription plan, and usage limits.
Payment information
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status, plan tier, and billing metadata from Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
Technical data
We automatically collect standard log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. We may use analytics tools to understand product usage and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- Provide personalized job matching and career tools
- Generate AI-assisted resumes, cover letters, and interview feedback
- Manage subscriptions, billing, and customer support
- Improve matching quality, product features, and platform reliability
- Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing notices)
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI processing
Recriv uses third-party AI providers (including OpenAI and, for voice interviews, ElevenLabs) to analyze your profile, match jobs, and generate content. Your profile and job-related inputs may be sent to these providers solely to deliver the features you request. We do not sell your personal data to AI vendors for their independent training purposes.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Infrastructure providers: Supabase (database, auth, storage), Vercel (hosting)
- Payment processor: Stripe
- AI and voice providers: OpenAI, ElevenLabs
- Job data sources: Third-party job APIs used for ingestion
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We retain your account and profile data while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for billing, legal, or security purposes.
6. Your rights and choices

7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access controls, and row-level security in our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, including the United States. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
