Terms of Service

Effective date: June 21, 2025. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Recriv ("we," "us," or "our") and our job-matching platform (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

2. Account registration

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. The Service

Recriv helps job seekers discover matched roles, prepare applications, and practice interviews using AI-assisted tools. We do not apply to jobs on your behalf unless you explicitly take that action. Match scores and AI outputs are informational and do not guarantee interview invitations or employment outcomes.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans (Pro, Premium) are billed monthly through Stripe unless otherwise stated.
  • Upgrades may be charged immediately with proration. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated in a promotion.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our systems without permission
  • Share account access or resell the Service without authorization
  • Upload malicious code or content that infringes third-party rights
  • Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or work authorization
  • Circumvent usage limits or subscription restrictions

6. Your content

You retain ownership of resumes, profile data, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to use that content to operate, improve, and provide the Service — including sending relevant portions to AI providers to generate outputs you request.

You represent that you have the right to submit your content and that it does not violate third-party rights.

7. AI-generated content

AI outputs (resumes, cover letters, interview feedback, match explanations) may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing all materials before submitting them to employers. Recriv does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or hiring success.

8. Third-party services and job listings

Job listings may originate from third-party sources. We do not control employer hiring decisions, listing accuracy, or availability. Links to external sites are subject to their own terms and policies.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Recriv or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or proprietary materials except as needed to use the Service.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECRIV AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Recriv operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
